Wildlife Friendly Bird Netting has a mesh size of less than 5mm. Bird netting with a mesh size larger than 10mm although effective at stopping birds, is a risk for animals to be easily caught in, and responsible for the deaths of many bats, birds, possums, snakes and other wildlife.
New Laws in Victoria now make it illegal to use nets with holes larger than 5mm.
