Blue crabs boiled with all the fixings captured in stunning detail. "Boiling Blues" is one of Jose's earliest paintings. Growing up in southern Louisiana, seafood was always a large part of his diet with crabs as his favorite. It's most likely due to the fact that the very first job Jose had was around the age of 12 checking crab traps for a local fisherman.
